POSITION OVERVIEW:
A Caravan Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers and cargo while operating Tropic Air’s Cessna C208 aircraft within regulatory and procedural framework provided, while maintaining high customer service and relation standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum:
    • Commercial Pilot’s license with Instrument Rating (C208B).
    • Associate Degree.
    • English Proficiency minimum ICAO standard Level 5.
    • Successful completion of the training course specific to the single crew role if conducting single crew operations.
    • CE-208: Total Hours: 2000, in command 1000 hours, of which 150 in command of a turbine engine powered aircraft, 50 hours in type which need not be Pilot in Command, 25 hours flight time under IFR and 15 hours flight time at night.
    • PIC 500 (to include 100 hrs. IFR), Multi-Engine turbine 250, In type 50 (which need not be PIC).
    • Rating on approval, Total Hours: 500
    • 50 Hours on the specific types or class of airplane under IFR, of which 10 hours is as a Pilot in Command, for single crew operations.
  • Preferred:
    • Airline Transport Pilot’s License
    • Bachelor’s Degree

Technical Records Clerk - Tropic's Maintenance Department in San Pedro Town

Tropic Air is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position for a Technical Records Clerk at Tropic’s Maintenance Department in San Pedro Town.

Reports To: Senior Technical Records Clerk

Position Overview: Support the Senior Technical Records Clerk with maintaining all Tropic Air’s aircraft records to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft needed to deliver the movement of passengers and cargo safely and efficiently. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Brief the Senior Technical Records Clerk on any breeches or major discrepancies regarding Tropic Air’s Technical Records System.
  • Work with the Senior Technical Records Clerk to establish corrective actions based on Technical Records Audit findings or Occurrence Reports.
  • Adhere to the Records Management Policy. 
  • Recommend improvements to the Records Management Program to the Senior Technical Records Clerk.
  • Report occurrences, discrepancies, and trends to the Senior Technical Records Clerk.
  • Ensure availability of hardcopy and digital maintenance documents and worksheets.
  • Daily collection and audit of maintenance work packages.
  • Reports to the Assistant Director of Maintenance for incomplete or inaccurate records, follow-up tracking for corrections and recording of all issues.
  • File, retrieve, and maintain hard copy and digital files. 
  • Scanning and uploading files to create digital copies of physical records.
  • Maintain the integrity of the filing system.
  • Disseminate reports as required.

  • Records Management Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 Years of Records Management Experience
